Hi,I'm Kate
I'm Happy YOu're here.
Hi, I’m Kate — I’m so happy to connect with you. I’m a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner, NeuroAffective Touch provider, and teacher based in San Diego, California.
My passion for this work comes from my own embodied healing journey. Years ago, while living in New York and struggling with anxiety, depression, lack of motivation, and disconnection from myself and others, I discovered the power of embodiment practices. For the first time, I began to experience what it felt like to move, pause, and feel truly. This opened the door to releasing long-held emotions, finding relief, and beginning to connect with others more authentically.
Life led me abroad, where I deepened my understanding of body-based practices and discovered a love for teaching and supporting others. What started as a personal path slowly became a professional calling — to share what had helped me feel more grounded, open, and connected.
Eventually, I landed in San Diego, where I found the profound teachings and healing gift of Somatic Experiencing. Learning in real time about my nervous system — my strong flight patterns, the anxiety stored in my body, and the ways it affected my health and relationships — helped me begin to bloom where I was planted, truly. SE gave me clarity, resilience, and the ability to ask for and receive support, bridging the gap between mind and body.
I support clients in reconnecting with their bodies, moving stuck energy, finding clarity, developing tools to manage stress, building confidence, and reclaiming their life force. I am here to walk alongside you in your healing journey.
I am passionate about helping people heal from the impacts of developmental trauma and CPTSD. I have completed several additional trainings with Dr. Aline LaPierre, the creator of NeuroAffective Touch. This training is designed to support our bodies using touch to support what may have happened, when we were young, weren't aware, or don't have language to explain what we need. This specifically focuses on supporting regulation of the physiology of our nervous system. I have also taken master classes with various SE faculty including Dr. Peter Levine.
I often utilize touch as a way to support capacity building with the physiology of our nervous systems. I am also currently an assistant for Somatic Experiencing® trainings throughout the country as a part of it’s post-advanced program. I am able to provide personal sessions for credit to students enrolled in the Somatic Experiencing training at the beginning and intermediate level. I love being able to deepen my own awareness of my nervous system and history, while also supporting other professionals to embody and integrate the SE material in a more personal way.
